The Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing at the University of Twente (FIP-AM@UT) respects your privacy. When using our website, you may get information, communicate with us, or find links to other websites with whom we do business.

For the purpose of this website, personal information is only collected through the contact us page.

FIP-AM@UT may use Personal Information received from you for the following purposes: to fulfil your requests for information on products and services or any specific questions sent to us, to respond to any complaints, to contact you about upcoming events and to generally manage your relationship with us. Personal details are usually provided by the data subject.

The data that we collect is:

  • profile basic information – the data that you provide when completing the contact form on fip.utwente.nl, including first name, last name, email address, and telephone number

The personal data that FIP-AM@UT collects is used with respect to the GDPR,  Art. 6 regulations.

Registration

FIP-AM@UT uses personal data collected from you for operational management purposes and to be able to properly perform its legal tasks and obligations regarding education, competence building, training, and research. The following overview describes the most important processes that FIP-AM@UT uses to collect and process personal data, stating the most important elements of each process:

  • Communication links: contact, mailing lists and newsletters, participants in various activities; details of companies, organisations, and persons with whom FIP-AM@UT engages in diverse types of collaborations.
  • Operational management: IT management, security, and operation of our platform, archiving and legal procedures, internal analytics, and reporting.

The data we collected can be used for statistical and scientific research. We always act in accordance with the legal requirements.

Website and services

FIP-AM@UT uses various tools to make the fip.utwente.nl website more user-friendly and to ensure that it functions optimally. This includes measuring access and use behaviour by utilising web statistics and other systems that are integrated into fip.utwente.nl website in order to collect active feedback from users, or to conduct research with various versions of the fip.utwente.nl website and its services.

In order to show users more relevant content that is tailored to their situation, information on some parts of the FIP-AM@UT website may be personalised on the basis of information that users have filled in earlier, their location/country or on the basis of other choices made on the FIP-AM@UT website.

Contact by email

FIP-AM@UT attaches great importance to protecting your privacy and takes appropriate measures to do so. We use the available resources to minimise the risk of unauthorised persons gaining access to your personal data or the risk of unlawful use or disclosure of your details.

Account information

The information that FIP-AM@UT collects about you cannot be accessed by everyone. Only employees and persons working for FIP-AM@UT have access to the information and then only if they need it in order to do their job. These persons are authorised to access the information using name and password security. All staff with such access is bound by a confidentiality clause on the grounds of the Collective Labour Agreement for Universities in the Netherlands.

Issuing to third parties

FIP-AM@UT will only pass on personal data to third parties under specific circumstances, e.g., if we are obliged to do so legally or if the data subject has consented that we do so. FIP-AM@UT will only pass on your information if we consider this necessary to:

  • comply with statutory regulations or legal processes concerning FIP-AM@UT or the fip.utwente.nl website;
  • protect the rights and property of FIP-AM@UT;
