Advanced Manufacturing Center: Ecosystem for the Digitalisation of the Manufacturing Industry in the East of the Netherlands (AMC Ecosystem) will receive funding for the following activity/activities:

The Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC) is an ecosystem to support the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry in the East of the Netherlands. This project is an initiative of the University of Twente, in cooperation with Fraunhofer IPT, as an outgrowth of the Fraunhofer Project Center in Enschede.

Fluctuating demand, small batches and personalised products are making new demands on the processes in the manufacturing industry. By integrating digitalisation and modular systems, potentially significant improvements can be made to the design and operation of production. The AMC ecosystem is an important step towards meeting these future challenges.

The main objective of the AMC Ecosystem project is to establish a technical and organisational platform to provide industrial companies (with a focus on SMEs) with access to the latest digitisation technologies, enabling systematic development, demonstration, knowledge transfer and support for implementation.
